Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how CLAD Ventures LLC ("we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, stores, and discloses information when you use APX Gym (the "App"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Who We Are

APX Gym is operated by CLAD Ventures LLC, an Indiana limited liability company. Questions about this Privacy Policy may be directed to info@clad-ventures.com or through our Support page.

2. Age Requirement

The App is intended for users who are at least 16 years of age. Users who are 16 or 17 years old may only use the App with the review and consent of a parent or legal guardian, who must agree to these Terms and the fitness disclaimer on the minor’s behalf. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If we learn that we have collected information from a user under 16, we will delete it promptly. 3. Information We Collect

3.1 Information You Provide Directly

When you create an account or use the App, you may provide:

• Account and profile data: name, email address, age, birthday, height, body weight, body type, fitness goal, and target muscle areas.
• Workout data: workout templates, saved plans, scheduled workouts, completed workout sessions, exercises, sets, reps, weight, RPE, rest intervals, workout duration, completion timestamps, and notes.
• Exercise library data: custom exercises, favorites, and folder organization.
• App preferences: weight unit, color theme, rest timer settings, haptics, and screen-awake behavior.

3.2 Information Generated Automatically

The App calculates and generates:

• Estimated one-rep max (e1RM) trends and PR-style metrics derived from your logged sets.
• Training load, muscle balance, and strength progression data derived from your workout history.
• Bodyweight trend data derived from your logged body weight entries.

3.3 Authentication Data

If you sign in, we collect your Clerk user ID and premium subscription entitlement status. Sign-in options include email, Sign in with Apple, and Sign in with Google. Clerk's privacy practices govern authentication data independently; see clerk.com for details.

3.4 Guest Mode Data

You may use the App without an account. In guest mode, all data is stored locally on your device only. If you later create an account, your local guest data may be migrated to your account and will then be subject to cloud sync as described below.

3.5 Health and Fitness Data

If you grant permission, the App integrates with Apple HealthKit to:

• Read workout summary data from Apple Health.
• Write completed workout summaries back to Apple Health.
• Receive heart-rate data during workout sessions via Apple Watch.

Health data obtained through HealthKit is used solely to provide App features to you. We do not use HealthKit data for advertising, and we do not share HealthKit data with third parties except as necessary to provide App features or as required by law, consistent with Apple’s HealthKit requirements.

3.6 Apple Watch Data

If you use the App's Apple Watch companion, workout session data including exercise activity and heart-rate samples may be synced between your iPhone and Apple Watch. This data is handled consistently with the workout data described above.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the App and its features.
• Sync your data across devices and to our cloud backend.
• Calculate workout metrics, progression suggestions, and insights.
• Manage your account, authenticate you, and verify your premium subscription.
• Send local rest-timer notifications you have requested.
• Display Live Activity workout states on your iPhone.
• Respond to support requests or inquiries.
• Improve and develop the App.
• Comply with applicable legal obligations.

We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell your personal information to third parties.

5. Cloud Storage and Data Sync

When you are signed in, the App syncs your full profile and workout data to our cloud backend. There is currently no in-app setting to disable cloud sync while you remain signed in; if you prefer not to sync data to the cloud, use the App in guest mode or sign out.

Our cloud backend is hosted on Supabase infrastructure in the United States (AWS us-west-2, Oregon). If you are located outside the United States, including in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, your data will be transferred to and processed in the United States. We rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers, including standard contractual clauses where required.

We are not responsible for data loss, corruption, sync failures, or unavailability of cloud services caused by third-party infrastructure providers, network interruptions, or events outside our reasonable control.

We retain your data as long as your account is active. Account deletion removes your data from our servers subject to any retention required by law or fraud prevention.

6. Account Deletion

You may delete your account directly within the App. Deletion removes your profile and workout data from our servers and clears locally stored app data associated with that account on the device where deletion is initiated. We do not currently offer a data export feature, and you should not rely solely on the App as a permanent record of your workout history.

7. Data Sharing and Third-Party Services

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with the following service providers who process data on our behalf:

• Clerk (clerk.com): Authentication and account management.
• Supabase (supabase.com): Cloud data storage and sync.
• Apple HealthKit: Workout summary integration, at your direction and subject to your device permissions.
• Apple StoreKit: In-app subscription management.

Each provider has its own privacy policy. We do not currently use analytics or crash-reporting SDKs. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of us, our users, or the public.

8. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted transmission (HTTPS/TLS) and secure cloud storage. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe a child under 16 has provided us data, contact us at info@clad-ventures.com and we will delete it promptly.

10. European Users — GDPR

If you are located in the EEA, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the following additional terms apply.

10.1 Legal Basis for Processing

• Performance of a contract: to provide App features you have requested.
• Legitimate interests: to improve the App, maintain security, and prevent fraud.
• Consent: for optional features such as Apple Health integration, which you may withdraw at any time.
• Legal obligation: to comply with applicable laws.

10.2 Your Rights

Under GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, or erase your personal data; restrict or object to processing; data portability where technically feasible; and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. To exercise these rights, contact us at info@clad-ventures.com. We will respond within 30 days.

10.3 International Transfers

Your data is stored in the United States. Transfers from the EEA are subject to appropriate safeguards including standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy at any time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the date above and, where appropriate, through an in-app notice. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
